BURLINGTON, WA, April 15, 2024 - The Burlington-Edison School District hosted Dr. Michaela Miller, Assistant Superintendent with the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI), at West View School the morning of Friday, April 19th. Dr. Miller was there to highlight and learn from the school’s Dual Language program. This visit comes amidst Washington State's prioritization of Dual Language programs and expansion efforts across the state.
During her visit, Dr. Miller engaged in a comprehensive exploration of West View’s Dual Language program, spending time visiting classrooms, interacting with students and staff, and delving into the nuanced characteristics that underpin the program's success.
West View School's recognition as a successful Dual Language model in the state is a testament to Burlington-Edison’s unwavering commitment to academic excellence and linguistic diversity.
