RECOGNITION FOR NON-STAFF MEMBERS

The Board recognizes that outstanding contributions by non-staff members promotes the education of the District’s students and the effective, efficient or safe management and operation of the District. It has determined that activities which recognize such outstanding contributions by non-staff members will help encourage continuation of such performance and urge similar performance by others. Therefore, the District administration is authorized to nominate and recognize non-staff members whose performance deserves special recognition. Amounts spent for individual recognition must be de minimis ($100.00 or less). Annual aggregate expenditures for recognition shall not exceed $1,500.

As used in this policy, outstanding performance or contributions by non-staff can consist of the following:

  • Service to education and/or the district

  • Volunteering

  • Donation of resources
